Luwero District, Uganda – Today, the House of Charity Foundation, a Ugandan charitable organization, celebrated the grand opening of a brand new mosque in the district. This project, made possible by generous donations from benefactors in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), marks a significant milestone for the Muslim community in Luwero.
The opening ceremony commenced with a recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by welcoming remarks from the House of Charity Foundation representatives. Special dignitaries, including local religious leaders and government officials, were also present to mark the occasion.
“We are incredibly grateful to the donors in the UAE for their compassion and generosity,” said the Director House of charity foundation-Uganda, “This new mosque will serve as a vital center for worship, education, and community for the Muslim community in Luwero for years to come.” he added.
The new mosque boasts spacious prayer halls, separate facilities for men and women, and designated areas for ablution. The design incorporates traditional Islamic architecture, creating a beautiful and serene space for worship and reflection.
The ceremony featured speeches highlighting the importance of interfaith harmony and the positive impact the mosque will have on the Luwero community. Local residents expressed their appreciation for the new place of worship, emphasizing how it will cater to the growing Muslim population and serve as a focal point for religious activities and social gatherings.
